Doreen Moore recalls that Clara used to live with Janet Armitage after her husband Harry was killed. Clara attended the Mission Church in Huddersfield. She could not bear to attend the local WWI memorial on rememberance day, but viewed it from Lane Head, ensuring that Doreen always attended for her.
