      He married Frances Evelyn Armitage, daughter of William Armitage and Ann Rangeley, on 11 July 1936 in All Hallows Parish Church, Shelley Lane, Kirkburton, Yorkshire, ENG. She was born on 15 June 1901 in Kirkburton, Yorkshire, ENG and died on 29 June 1985 in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, ENG at the age of 84.
